Berd is an American brand specializing in the manufacture of a rope-like textile spoke called PolyLight. At just 2.2 grams on the scale, a saving of around 140 grams compared to a pair of wheels with Sapim CX-Ray spokes, PolyLights are among the lightest spokes on the market. In addition to its weight, which makes for a lighter frame, this spoke made from Dyneema® fiber offers a number of additional benefits, notably in terms of comfort, thanks to the filtration of vibrations and shocks experienced on hilly courses.
